The recent articles about the incident in which an ATV ran me down failed to reflect the landowners' perspective. Rather, the ATVing community dominated the conversation with talk of a few rogues, $500 rewards, prosecutions, $10,000 grants, clubs, and other distractions so the perception of abuse by ATVers was diminished. Landowners know better. Every day, I receive reports of reckless and irresponsible conduct on roads and private property from throughout central Maine. |
