Janice Morse A Waynesville man who nearly died in an alcohol-related wreck on a bike path a year ago faces criminal charges. In a Warren County indictment made public Monday, Donald Crawford, 42, was charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular assault. Authorities allege Crawford was driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) while intoxicated May 26 and crashed into a bicyclist on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Crawford and his daughter, who was riding on the ATV, both were seriously hurt Crawford was "in and out of a coma" for months after the crash, which happened almost a year ago, said Matt Nolan, spokesman for the Warren County Prosecutor's Office The man on the bicycle suffered broken bones. -- |
