Here we go again. The video cameras and calls to the police must be done again. The danger dirt bikes and four-wheelers pose to drivers of automobiles is high. They ride them on the road and have been also heard at night, yes at night, and they have no lights.

I don't know why they feel this is safe, but living in the area they ride, we see an accident coming someday — and then what? Who will be at fault then? The driver of the car? Don't parents of these riders even care?

I'm only one of many who feel this needs to stop and have been asked to speak up. We will do our part by doing what the police ask of us and we hope the riders will trailer their bikes and take them to safer places designated for their use. Thank you.

“During the past decade, I have personally had six out of seven elk hunts ruined by the careless intrusions of ATV operators. This epidemic has forced me to abandon one prime hunting area after another, only to encounter the same situation elsewhere. The shameful part of this picture is that the overwhelming majority of these ATV’ers are young and healthy, not decrepit or physically challenged. Maybe these riders would be more respectful of other people's outdoor experience if they knew we could ID them."
